We are seeking an experienced Welfare Rights caseworker or solicitor to join our team.
Paddington Law Centre has been fighting for Social Justice in North Westminster for over 50 years. Currently, we cover three areas of law – Housing, Welfare Rights and Employment – providing high quality advice and effective legal representation from our fully accessible offices on Harrow Road. We hold a Legal Aid Agency (LAA) contract in Housing and Welfare Rights and take cases to the Upper Tribunal under that contract.
The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience of managing a welfare rights caseload. They will be able to handle complex cases and be responsible for every aspect of work – from typing to advocacy. They will be able to work on their own initiative and also contribute to the staff collective. Experience of representing clients before the First Tier Tribunal is essential for this post.
This post is part time - 3 days (22.5 hours) per week. Hybrid working is possible following completion of a six month probationary period.
Salary: £47,301 per annum pro rata
Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus Bank holidays pro rata.
