Luton Law Centre (LLC) is seeking a Senior Solicitor to provide overall direction to and supervision of their legal work and to conduct casework in either housing, community care or immigration law.
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic solicitor to join the Law Centre team. They are looking for an individual who is fired by their ambition to assist people in need, and who shares the Law Centre's values. The successful applicant must be willing to work hard, be imaginative, flexible, willing to extend their current skill set and, above all, want to make a difference.
Luton Law Centre was formed in 1989. Since then, it has provided members of the local community with specialist legal advice. It is made up of a small team of committed and passionate social welfare lawyers and caseworkers. It is also part of the Law Centre Network, which as a movement specialises in providing advice, casework and representation to the most disadvantaged members in the community.
The Law Centre is seeking candidates who can offer 30 to 35 work hours per week. Applicants will have a minimum of three years’ experience as a practising solicitor and at least 2 years’ experience as an LAA Contract Category Supervisor in housing, community care, immigration and asylum law, public law, welfare benefits, employment or discrimination.
The salary offered for this post is £35,000 to £38,000 p.a. depending on experience.
