The Public Interest Law Centre (PILC) is looking to recruit new members to its growing team:

The Public Interest Law Centre exists to challenge systemic injustice through legal representation, strategic litigation, research and legal education. PILC specialises in public law, actions against public authorities and public inquiries, bringing cases to court for individuals and grassroots groups who have been treated unfairly. The Law Centre holds government and public bodies to account, challenging unlawful policies and practices.

PILC's solicitors, caseworkers & researchers meet with individuals and community groups to explore how legal action could help them challenge injustice and defend their social and human rights. PILC works with campaigners to develop strategic litigation for social change. Its current caseload reflects its interest in opposing austerity, the hostile environment, state surveillance & violence against women.

This is an exciting time to be joining the Law Centre. With a number of significant high-profile current cases and some recent major victories for our clients, PILC looks forward to growing the litigation team to support and develop this high-quality, strategic work.

The Law Centre is seeking a dynamic and committed Solicitor with solid public law experience in a range of practice areas. This role is initially for a fixed-term 12-month contract but has the potential to develop into a permanent role.

• £32,000-£35,000 (depending on experience)

• Full time

• Fixed-term 12 months (with the possibility of extension)
