Find your next opportunity at Law Centres Network or with one of our member Law Centres.
Harrow Law Centre is a small but effective and forward-thinking Law Centre which provides specialist legal advice & representation to combat disadvantage, discrimination and exclusion. We also work to influence local and national policy to improve public services for the most vulnerable. We use the law not only to resolve the legal problem for the individual but to achieve wider change.
We have recently secured a legal aid contract in education, and we are looking to recruit a Solicitor or experienced caseworker to develop our education work. The person appointed will undertake work which includes:
Special educational needs (SEN) appeals at the First Tier Tribunal and Upper Tier Tribunal
Education Health and Care Plan reviews and requests for assessments
School admission appeals
Exclusions
The work is varied but challenging and we have a happy and supportive working environment. We have small premises in a vibrant community setting. We specialize in social welfare law and hold Legal Aid contracts in Education, Housing, Immigration/Asylum, Public Law and Welfare Benefits.
Harrow Law Centre is striving to ensure our workplace reflects our principles of equality and fairness. We therefore operate a system of pay parity for all staff and applicants must be committed to this principle.
