Southwark Law Centre wishes to recruit someone to assist one of our Senior Solicitors to provide casework and representation in the areas of education, employment and discrimination issues.
The successful applicant will
Have at least 2 years recent, experience of providing advice and information to help people to access their rights in a legal or advice setting. This can be paid or voluntary.
Demonstrate an awareness of the challenges and barriers to accessing services that people from Black and Ethnic Minority communities, LGBTQI people and people with disabilities face
Ability to use online and written resources to research relevant law
Ability to explain complex legal issues in plain language
We have developed an agile working policy and staff can work partly from home and partly in the office in Peckham.
Terms and conditions include:
28 Hours per week
Salary range: NJC scale SP 9-13 £25,602 - £27,498 pro-rata
